Our team of dedicated and skilled staff will deliver nursing care throughout the 24 hour period for the safety and well-being of all our service users. The Manager, is supported by a Deputy Manager and the team of trained nurses, senior carers, carers and domestic staff. An ongoing training development plan is in place for all staff members to ensure that they are trained specifically to meet the needs of our service users.
24 Hour nursing care is provided at the home, which operates with Registered Nurses, (2 RN’s per day shift, 1 RN Night duty) plus experienced carers, we have nurses from varying backgrounds i.e RN, RMN, RNLD. The qualified nurses are registered at either Part 1, 2 or 12 of the NMC Register. Specialist knowledge is collectively held regarding – dementia care, continence care, diabetes and wound care.
The staffing levels are in accordance with those recommended by the Residential Forum. A continuous staff-training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest initiatives and developments in care practices as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, regulation and the Care Quality Commission guidelines. The staff receive annual updates in Fire Training and Precautions.
We are inspected by the Fire Service and have a contract with a Company who service our alarm system and equipment in accordance with legal requirements. Staff receive mandatory training and updates to ensure they are fully competent to fulfil their roles. Additional training is also provided as identified.
